Jia Ying Community Services Society
Jia Ying Community Services Society (JYCSS) was established in June 2001 by Glad Tidings Church as a non-profit organization, dedicated to serving the community. Since its inception, Jia Ying has worked tirelessly to uplift and support those in need. By 2003, JYCSS achieved recognition as a registered charity and became a full member of the National Council of Social Services (NCSS), attaining IPC (Institution of a Public Character) status. This distinction allows the organization to further expand its reach and positively impact the lives of individuals in the community.
Jia Ying Active Ageing Centre focuses on improving the well-being of vulnerable seniors. Its key objectives include:
- Enhancing the quality of life for seniors who are at risk by offering comprehensive support and care.
- Proactively identifying and addressing social isolation among vulnerable seniors, ensuring they stay connected with the community.
- Encouraging seniors to maintain cognitive and physical health through a variety of social, recreational, and educational activities.
- Promoting volunteerism and lifelong learning, empowering seniors to contribute their skills and knowledge to benefit others while staying actively engaged in society.
Through these initiatives, Jia Ying is committed to fostering a caring and inclusive environment where seniors can thrive.
