RSVP Singapore – Champion Partner
RSVP Singapore The Organisation of Senior Volunteers is an Institution of Public Character and the National Centre of Excellence for Senior Volunteerism. Established in October 1998, RSVP’s vision is to make every senior a volunteer. To achieve this, RSVP aims to develop senior volunteers and provide meaningful opportunities to serve the needs of the community. With the support of Singapore Pools, CapitaLand Hope Foundation and Community Chest, RSVP is setting up the Majestic Smart Seniors Applied Learning Centre (MSSALC) at Majestic Chinatown. This centre aims to create a safe space for seniors to learn the latest in digital technology, build confidence and integrate new skills in their daily lifestyles through peer-to-peer and applied learning. Other outcomes of the centre include the promotion of volunteerism, community and social bonding amongst seniors.
Themes within the centre will be based on the different aspects of daily life of seniors with a focus on digitalisation and technology such as e-payment, e-health, heritage, communications and SMART living. As part of the curriculum, RSVP would translate the learning journeys for seniors to digitalised experiences and show them how technology can make a difference.
