Singtel
Singtel is committed to meeting our customers’ communications needs as well as enabling the vulnerable segments with the knowledge and skills to thrive in the digital age.
Our social impact programmes are aligned with the national Digital for Life movement to build a digitally inclusive society. We have since empowered more than 7,000 seniors with digital knowledge through our staff volunteers who conducted weekly one-on-one sessions with them, under our Singtel Digital Silvers programme. We have also launched a series of instructional videos on digital skills produced in-house – in English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil. They are made simple for seniors to learn and revise independently. Each video focuses on different digital skills that are vital for everyday use in an increasingly tech-savvy world.
We have an ongoing device donation drive in collaboration with Engineering Good, which collects old usable devices such as mobile phones, tablets and laptops. These devices will be data-wiped, refurbished and then donated to vulnerable groups including seniors and low-income families.
